IUMAA Academic Year Research Fellowship

About the Fellowship

The IUMAA Fellowship provides a stipend of up to $25,000 as well as health insurance for the academic year (2025-2026). The 10-month fellowship supports a full-time graduate or undergraduate student at Indiana University, Bloomington or other IU affiliated campuses. The Fellowship provides support for students conducting research contributing to Midwest archaeology, including dissertations, theses, or related projects, with a preference for research directly related to Angel Mounds.

The Fellowship is also available to support students participating in field work through an archaeological site or field school endorsed by IUMAA, with preference given first to students participating in work at Angel Mounds and second to students working at a Midwestern site.
