Interim Director Named
Sarah Junk Hatcher will serve as interim director Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Junk Hatcher has most recently served as head of programs and education for the IUMAA, working with faculty, community members, K-12 educators, and others to develop both traditional and non-traditional ways for the museum and its audiences to interact.
Junk Hatcher’s role as interim director will focus on completing the move of the IUMAA collection to the new facility, completing interior design finishes, and continuing to advance efforts toward the opening of the museum.
Her museum expertise spans 15 years. She is currently completing her doctorate in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at IU, adding to her master’s degree in arts administration from the University of Oregon.
