Collections Assistants

The Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is seeking individuals to assist with moving ethnographic collections into the newly renovated museum. Must be organized, able to follow instructions, and meticulous in detailed work. The ability to lift and carry is a plus. IUB hourly, graduate work study, or undergraduate work study students are eligible for the positions, which will pay $15/hour for 20-25 hours per week.

 

Conservation Assistant

Assist with cleaning ethnographic collection objects under supervision of experienced staffer. Work involves use of chest freezer, vacuum, UV lamps, pallet jack, safety ladder. Safety equipment required: respirator, googles, UV protection eyewear, nitrile gloves. Exposure to mold minimal. Chemicals/cleaners used: acetone, Orvus soap. Work may require lifting and carrying including helping to lift and carry heavy objects. IUB hourly, graduate work study, or undergraduate work study students are eligible for the positions, which will pay $15/hour for 20-29 hours per week, scheduled between 9-5 Monday-Friday. The position is located at 1430 N. Willis Dr., Bloomington. Marketing/Development Assistants

The Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is seeking to hire individuals this fall to assist with marketing and development activities in preparation for the museum’s opening. Must be organized, with good writing skills. Web skills or graphic design experience is preferred but not required. Administrative Assistant

The Indiana University Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is seeking to hire an individual this fall to assist with administrative activities in preparation for the museum’s opening. Must be organized and able to adapt to a variety of tasks.
